Bob Bird has a lot to say about a lot of things. As a radio show host on KSRM’s Talk of The Kenai, a contributing writer for the Alaska Watchman, chair of the Alaska Libertarian Party and long time politico, Bob has a ton of energy, wit and passion. And he is absolutely convinced that now is the time for Alaskans to vote YES on a Constitutional convention. The question has been coming up every 10 years since statehood and Alaskans have never voted to convene a meeting to take another look at our founding document. For many reasons, which we have articulated before, Alaska Family Action supports a YES vote on holding a Constitutional convention when Alaskans will vote on it in November of this year. The Alaska Democrat Party has adopted a platform officially opposing the Constitutional convention and the reasons why are very telling. – They oppose school choice. Sounds like three great reasons to vote YES on a Constitutional convention to me. And Bob Bird has a bunch more reasons. I hope you can join us today to become more educated on this wonderfully timely discussion.
